Travel nursing is short-to-medium-term contract nursing work in locations away from a nurse's home base, often in regional, rural, or remote Australia. Contracts typically run from 2 to 12 weeks. Travel nurses gain exposure to different clinical settings while accommodation, travel costs, and competitive pay are usually provided by the staffing agency.

Where does E4 People place travel and remote nurses?

 E4 People places nurses across regional, rural, and remote healthcare settings nationwide - including public and private hospitals, multipurpose health services, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, and community health facilities. We work across all states and territories with strongest current coverage in NSW, QLD, NT, WA, and SA. 

How long are E4's travel nursing contracts?

 E4 travel nursing contracts typically range from 2 weeks to 6 months, with most assignments running 6 to 12 weeks. Longer contracts are available for nurses seeking extended remote placements. We also support back-to-back contracts so nurses can move between locations without a break in pay or compliance. 

What allowances are offered for remote area nursing contracts?

Most E4 remote and travel contracts include accommodation, travel to and from the location, and a competitive hourly rate that reflects the remote location loading. Exact inclusions vary from contract to contract, and your consultant will outline these upfront before you accept. 

Do you support nurses new to remote practice?

 Yes. E4 People partners with CRANAplus, the peak body for the remote and isolated health workforce, and offers tailored support for nurses transitioning into remote practice. This includes access to training resources, cultural orientation, and consultant guidance from our specialist Hospitals & Remote Care team. First contracts are matched to your experience level. 

Do you recruit for regional hospitals as well as remote sites?

 Yes. E4 People's Hospitals & Remote Care team places nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals across regional and rural hospitals as well as remote sites. Roles include emergency, theatre, ICU, maternity, medical/surgical, mental health, and aged care settings within hospitals.
