Who We Are

 

E4 People is an Australian healthcare staffing agency founded in 2012 and headquartered in Sydney. We provide aged care, hospital, allied health, and travel nursing staff to more than 700 clients across the country, with over 7,000 placements completed and a 4.9-star rating from 300+ Google reviews.

We were known as E4 Recruitment from our founding in 2012 until our 2025 rebrand. The bright pink logo, the four E values, and the team behind it all stayed exactly the same - only the name changed, to better reflect what the business has always been about: people.

Our tagline - Connecting Care Confidently - reflects what we do every day: matching the right healthcare professional to the right role, with confidence on every side of the placement.

"You're called E4 People, but why?..."

Our co-founders, Edward Freeman and Josh Hill, believed four key ‘E words’ defined a great healthcare recruitment agency. Those four E’s became the company name in 2012 - and they’re still the values we operate by today.

Our Story So Far

From a two-person joint venture in a Darling Point apartment to a national healthcare staffing brand with a Sydney HQ and a team of fifty - here’s how the last 14 years have looked.

 

2012
E4 kicks off in Darling Point, Sydney, as a joint venture between Edward Freeman and Josh Hill.
 
2013
After a year of working from Edward’s apartment, we got our first official office! (A shared office space in Camperdown).
 
2016
We get our first office all to ourselves - Stanmore.
 
2016
We make our first hire, Sandra Adzic. Sandra’s still with us today as our longest-serving team member!
 
2019
Katie Owen joins the E4 team!
 
2019
The team grows from 3 to 9, and our tiny office gets way too snug. Time to move to the big smoke, and Clarence St becomes our new home.
 
2019
In 2019, we made a big change. We shifted from being a specialist permanent recruitment agency, to temp and contract recruitment also.
 
2020
COVID hits, and things get hectic. Our team steps up to support massive staffing needs day and night.
 
2021
With 20 team members and our Hospitals & Remote Care division booming, we’re on the move again!
 
2023
Big wins! We’re awarded more tenders, grow our reach across Australia, and settle into E4 HQ in Town Hall. Plenty of space – phew!
 
2024
Key specialists join us (Finance, Marketing, L&D, Partnerships), and our systems get a big upgrade to give clients and staff a premium experience.
 
2025
We rebrand! E4 Recruitment becomes E4 People. Same bright pink agency, but with even greater confidence in our impact on care delivery across Australia every single day.
