Location: Bundaberg, QLD
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $140,000 – $150,000 Superannuation
Relocation: Relocation support available within Australia
 
About the Organisation

This large, well-resourced home offers a collaborative environment where clinical leaders are empowered to improve outcomes for residents and develop their teams.
 
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Manager to oversee the clinical operations of a large residential aged care facility in Bundaberg. Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will lead a team of Clinical Nurses and Registered Nurses to ensure high-quality, safe, and person-centred care is delivered consistently.
This is an ideal opportunity for a senior clinician ready to step into a key leadership position with influence over care standards, staff development, and clinical governance.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight across the facility
  • Supervise and support Clinical Nurses and Registered Nurses
  • Ensure compliance with aged care standards, accreditation requirements, and legislation
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practice
  • Monitor care plans, assessments, and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Manage complex clinical cases and provide escalation support to the team
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on resident wellbeing and safety
  • Collaborate with allied health professionals, families, and external stakeholders
  • Support staff education, mentoring, and performance development
 
Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership experience within the aged care sector (essential)
  • Previous experience in a Care Manager or senior clinical leadership role (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of accreditation standards and clinical governance
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and team leadership skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
