Description
A well-established residential aged care home in Canberra is seeking a clinically capable and people-focused Care Manager to join its experienced leadership team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, fully compliant not-for-profit provider where you'll work alongside a second Care Manager, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional clinical care while being supported by an experienced Facility Manager and leadership team.

About the Role As one of two Care Managers, you will provide clinical leadership across the home, supporting the delivery of high-quality, resident-centred care.
The role combines clinical governance, mentoring and supporting nursing teams, quality improvement and compliance within a collaborative leadership structure where responsibilities are shared across two Care Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of high-quality clinical care across the home
- Support and mentor Registered Nurses and care staff
- Drive clinical governance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor resident outcomes and ensure care meets best practice standards
- Partner with the Facility Manager and wider leadership team to maintain compliance
- Build positive relationships with residents, families and allied health professionals
- Support accreditation readiness and quality improvement activities
You are a collaborative, clinically capable and organised leader who enjoys supporting teams to deliver outstanding resident care.
You will also bring:
- Previous experience as a Care Manager, Clinical Manager or senior clinical leader within residential aged care
- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
- Experience leading clinical teams in residential aged care
- Strong understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Standards
- Confidence supporting clinical governance, audits and quality improvement
- Work alongside a second Care Manager in a shared leadership model
- Supportive Facility Manager and experienced leadership team
- Fully compliant home with strong clinical foundations
