A well-established, large residential aged care home in Canberra is seeking an experienced and people-focused Care Manager to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for a clinically capable and approachable leader who enjoys being visible on the floor, supporting their team and driving positive outcomes for residents.

About the RoleAs the clinical leader of the home, you will oversee clinical care, support and develop the nursing and care teams, and ensure residents receive safe, high-quality and person-centred care.
This role combines clinical governance, people leadership, compliance and continuous improvement within a supportive and established residential aged care environment.

You will work closely with the Facility Manager and wider leadership team while remaining visible and connected with residents, families and staff.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support the clinical and care teams across the home
• Oversee clinical care planning and resident outcomes
• Support, coach and develop Registered Nurses and care staff
• Drive compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Monitor clinical indicators, incidents and areas of risk
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across clinical care
• Build strong relationships with residents and their families
• Support the home through audits, accreditation and regulatory requirements

About You
You are an experienced, approachable and hands-on clinical leader who genuinely enjoys supporting teams and improving resident care.

You will also bring:
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous Care Manager, Clinical Manager or senior clinical leadership experience
• Experience working within residential aged care
• Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical governance requirements
• Experience leading and supporting nursing and care teams
• Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one
