Care Manager

Carrum Downs, Victoria

Details

briefcase-regular-1   Work Type: Permanent

square-dollar-regular   Salary Range: $120,001 - $130,000

heart-circle-plus-regular   Whats on Offer: Escape the pressure of being spread too thin. Lead clinical excellence in a supportive home where you'll have the time, resources and backing to deliver exceptional resident care.

Description

Lead clinical excellence. Inspire your team. Make a lasting difference.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate Care Manager to join a well-established not-for-profit residential aged care provider in Carrum Downs.

This is your chance to join a welcoming, resident-focused home where quality care, strong relationships and community values are at the heart of everything they do. Working alongside a highly supportive leadership team, you'll play a key role in leading clinical care, mentoring staff and ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centred outcomes.

With a smaller clinical portfolio and strong support structures already in place, you'll have the opportunity to focus on delivering high-quality care and developing your team, rather than feeling stretched across an overwhelming workload.

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely influence clinical standards, mentor a dedicated team and be part of an organisation that truly values both its residents and employees, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
✅ $130,000 + Super & Salary Packaging
✅ Your career won't stand still - this provider has a strong culture of developing and promoting internal talent into Facility Manager and other leadership opportunities.
✅ Strong leadership and clinical support, allowing you to focus on quality outcomes rather than being spread too thin.
✅ Manage a smaller group of residents, giving you the time to build meaningful relationships and deliver exceptional clinical care.
✅ Join a purpose-driven not-for-profit with a rich history, strong community values and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional resident care.
✅ Salary packaging benefits to increase your take-home pay.

The Role
As the Care Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager to lead the home's clinical operations, ensuring high standards of care, compliance and resident outcomes.
You'll be responsible for supporting and developing the clinical team while driving continuous improvement and maintaining excellence in clinical governance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide clinical leadership to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants.
  • Oversee clinical assessments, care planning and documentation.
  • Drive clinical governance, accreditation readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor incidents, clinical risks and quality indicators.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families and external healthcare professionals.
  • Mentor, coach and develop the clinical team to deliver outstanding resident outcomes.
About You
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within residential aged care or an acute hospital leadership role (e.g. ANUM, NUM or equivalent).
  • Significant experience caring for residents or patients living with dementia, with a strong understanding of dementia-informed care.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance and quality improvement principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
  • A compassionate, resident-focused approach with a genuine passion for supporting and developing others.
About E4 People

We work closely with aged care providers across Australia, connecting exceptional leaders with outstanding career opportunities. If you're ready to join a supportive not-for-profit organisation where you'll have the time, resources and support to make a genuine difference, we'd love to hear from you.
