Details

briefcase-regular-1   Work Type: Permanent

square-dollar-regular   Salary Range: $130,001+

heart-circle-plus-regular   Whats on Offer: Lead clinical care across an 80-bed home, with regional governance support, staff development opportunities and clear career pathways.

Description

Our client is a large, well-established residential aged care provider with a strong focus on clinical quality, resident outcomes and developing its people.
Their 80-bed residential aged care home operates across a single level and has an established team of clinical and care staff supporting a fully occupied resident community.
The organisation offers a structured leadership environment, with dedicated regional support across Governance, Quality and Education. There is a genuine focus on developing staff, strengthening clinical practices and creating career progression opportunities across the business.
They are now looking for an experienced Care Manager who enjoys hands-on leadership, building strong relationships with staff and taking ownership of clinical outcomes.

About the Role
This is a hands-on Care Manager position responsible for overseeing clinical care delivery, supporting staff and maintaining quality standards across an established 85-bed residential aged care home.
Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, you will provide clinical leadership across the nursing, care and allied health teams, working closely with the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurses.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing clinical care delivery and resident outcomes across the facility
  • Providing direct leadership, supervision and support to Registered Nurses, care staff and allied health professionals
  • Working closely with the Facility Manager and Clinical Care Coordinator to maintain consistent clinical standards
  • Leading clinical governance, risk management and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant aged care legislation, quality standards and accreditation requirements
  • Supporting resident assessments, care planning and clinical documentation
  • Managing clinical incidents, identifying trends and implementing improvements
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families and staff
  • Coaching and developing clinical staff through education, supervision and performance management
  • Supporting clinical budgets, resource allocation and operational requirements
  • Overseeing facility operations in the absence of the Facility Manager
This role will suit a Care Manager who enjoys being visible across the facility, supporting staff directly and taking a proactive approach to clinical leadership.

Why this Role

This is an opportunity to take ownership of clinical care within an established facility, with the backing of a larger aged care organisation.
You will have access to:
  • Established 80-bed home: A fully occupied, single-level facility with an existing clinical and care team
  • Strong regional support: Dedicated Governance, Quality and Education resources available through the broader organisation
  • Clear leadership structure: Work alongside an experienced facility leadership team, including a Facility Manager and Clinical Care Coordinator
  • Hands-on clinical leadership: Maintain a visible presence across the home and directly influence clinical care delivery
  • Staff development: An organisation that places genuine importance on education, mentoring and growing its workforce
  • Career progression: Established internal pathways for clinical leaders looking to develop their careers
  • Clinical improvement: The opportunity to strengthen clinical practices, develop staff capability and contribute to improved resident outcomes
  • Established provider: The resources and organisational structure of a large residential aged care group
About You
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent recognised nursing qualification
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous experience in residential aged care clinical leadership or management
  • Experience supervising and managing multidisciplinary clinical and care teams
  • Demonstrated experience with clinical governance, quality improvement and aged care compliance
  • Full working rights in Australia
Salary & Benefits
  • $130,000 to $140,000 + superannuation
  • Regional support across Governance, Quality and Education
  • Structured facility leadership team
  • Internal career progression pathways
  • Opportunities to mentor and develop clinical staff
  • Access to organisational education and professional development resources
  • Support from a large, established aged care provider
What’s on Offer
If you are an experienced Care Manager who enjoys leading from the floor, developing staff and taking ownership of clinical standards, this role is worth a conversation.
You will be joining an established aged care provider with the resources to support you, a clear leadership structure and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to resident care and team development.
