Clinical Care Manager
Location: Nundah, QLD
Full Time | $125-135K Salary Packaging Benefits
A new opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Manager to lead and elevate clinical excellence within a residential aged care home in Nundah.
This is a senior leadership role suited to a confident and capable Registered Nurse with extensive experience in aged care clinical governance, team leadership, accreditation, and operational oversight. You will work in close partnership with the Residential Manager to ensure the highest standards of care, compliance, and clinical performance across the home.
About the Role
As Care Manager, you will lead and oversee the delivery of safe, person-centred clinical and personal care across a large residential aged care home. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and excellence in clinical governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong clinical leadership, mentoring and oversight to nursing and care teams
- Ensure safe staffing, appropriate skill mix, and compliance with RN care minutes
- Lead clinical governance including quality indicators, incident management (SIRS/SAC), and accreditation preparation with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
- Oversee daily clinical rounds, high-risk resident reviews, case conferencing and escalation processes
- Deliver accurate monthly clinical reporting and benchmarking analysis
- Support AN-ACC optimisation, clinical budgets, and operational performance
- Lead recruitment, performance management and professional development of the clinical team
- Participate in shared on-call duties and act as Residential Manager during leave periods
About You
Essential:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior clinical leadership within aged care
- Proven experience leading accreditation and registration renewal processes with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
- Strong financial and operational acumen
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing clinical teams
- Excellent communication, analytical and reporting skills
- Experience with AN-ACC funding and compliance frameworks
- High-level computer literacy (MS Office and clinical systems)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and relevant probity checks
- Up-to-date vaccination evidence as required by legislation
- Postgraduate qualifications (or working towards) in Gerontology, Aged Care, or related specialty
- Current Driver’s Licence
