A well-established residential aged care home is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead its catering and food services team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Chef Manager who loves leading a team, creating quality food and making mealtimes an enjoyable part of residents' day.

About the Role
As Chef Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and catering service, ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals that meet their individual dietary requirements and preferences.
This role combines hands-on cooking, team leadership, menu planning, compliance, ordering and kitchen operations. You will work closely with residents, care teams and management to continually improve the dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the kitchen and catering team
- Prepare and oversee high-quality meals for residents
- Develop menus that consider nutrition, choice and resident preferences
- Manage food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance requirements
- Coordinate ordering, stock control and supplier relationships
- Manage kitchen budgets, wastage and operational costs
- Ensure texture-modified and special dietary requirements are met
- Build relationships with residents and seek feedback on dining experiences
You are a passionate, organised and hands-on Chef Manager who genuinely enjoys creating a positive dining experience for older people.
You will also bring:
- Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef or similar
- Relevant Commercial Cookery qualifications
- Food Safety Supervisor certification
- Experience working within aged care or a high-volume catering environment
- Knowledge of texture-modified diets and dietary requirements
- Current Police Check or ability to obtain one
- Monday to Friday hours offering genuine work-life balance
