Description

Clinical Care Coordinator – Tweed Heads

A well-established 100-bed Residential Aged Care Home in Tweed Heads is seeking an experienced and clinically capable Clinical Care Coordinator to join the team following a refurbishment of the building.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a clinically strong, knowledgeable and supportive leader who thrives in a hands-on clinical environment. You will play a key role in supporting the Care Managers, strengthening clinical standards and helping develop the next generation of RNs within the home.
If you are clinically confident, supportive and experienced, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact while growing your career within the aged care sector.

About the Role

As the Clinical Care Coordinator supporting a 100-bed home, you will lead, support and develop the nursing team, reporting directly to two Care Managers.
This role combines clinical leadership, RN development, education and training, and day-to-day clinical support within a refurbished and well-structured residential aged care environment.
A key focus of the position will be training and mentoring junior RNs, helping build their clinical confidence, knowledge and capability while maintaining high standards of resident care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the two Care Managers with day-to-day clinical leadership across the home
  • Mentor junior RNs to build their clinical skills, knowledge and confidence
  • Deliver clinical training and education to nursing staff
  • Provide hands-on clinical guidance and support to RNs when required
  • Monitor clinical standards and ensure high-quality resident care
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen clinical practice and staff capability
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Advisor and AN-ACC Funding Nurse to support strong clinical outcomes
  • Lead by example and promote a culture of high-quality, person-centred care

About You

You are a clinically strong, knowledgeable and supportive individual who genuinely enjoys developing other nurses and improving clinical capability within a residential aged care environment.
You will also bring:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Clinical Care Coordinator or similar role
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge within residential aged care
  • Experience supporting, mentoring or training junior RNs
  • Confidence providing hands-on clinical guidance and leadership
  • Experience working within a residential aged care setting
What's on Offer
  • Opportunity to join a refurbished 100-bed residential aged care home
  • Key clinical leadership role reporting directly to two Care Managers
  • Strong focus on training and developing junior RNs
  • Structured clinical leadership team with dedicated Nurse Advisor and AN-ACC Funding Nurse
  • Supportive and collaborative environment
  • Salary: $120,000 + Super + Salary Packaging. If your salary expectations are above $120,000, we are happy to discuss what you would need to make the opportunity work
  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact on clinical standards and staff development
About E4 People

E4 People has been a specialist healthcare recruitment partner since 2012. Over the past decade we have built deep relationships across aged care, allied health, and hospital settings throughout Australia. When you work with us, you get more than a single job opening. You get a recruiter who understands the sector, knows the leadership teams, and can talk honestly about culture, career pathways and where your skills will be valued.
What this looks like in practice:
  • A dedicated consultant who works with you on your career, not just this role
  • Honest market insight on salary, growth, and where the sector is moving
  • Discreet, professional handling at every stage. We do not share your details without permission
  • Ongoing support post placement, because the right fit matters longer than the offer date
We are proud that many of the candidates we place return to us years later for their next career move. That is the standard we aim for on every search.

If you are passionate about clinical excellence, thrive in a hands-on leadership environment, and want to help develop the next generation of aged care nurses, we would love to hear from you.
