Clinical Care Manager

Nowra, New South Wales

Details

briefcase-regular-1   Work Type: Permanent

square-dollar-regular   Salary Range: $130,001+

heart-circle-plus-regular   Whats on Offer: Oversee clinical care for 60 residents alongside an experienced Care Manager, with strong leadership support and a positive team culture.

Description

Our client is a well-established not-for-profit aged care provider with a strong focus on quality resident care, clinical leadership and creating a positive working environment for staff. This 120-bed residential aged care home in Nowra has an established clinical team, a 4-star rating and a strong reputation for its supportive team culture.
The facility operates with a structured leadership model, including a Facility Manager, Manager of Clinical Services and two Care Managers. You will be joining an experienced leadership team, with the opportunity to take ownership of a defined resident group while having support from another established Care Manager.

About the Role
This is a Care Manager position overseeing clinical care delivery for approximately 55 to 60 residents within a larger 120-bed residential aged care home.
Working alongside a second Care Manager who has been with the facility for several years, you will be responsible for supporting Registered Nurses and care staff, maintaining clinical standards and ensuring residents receive consistent, person-centred care.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical leadership, supervision and guidance to Registered Nurses and care staff
  • Working closely with the Manager of Clinical Services and fellow Care Manager
  • Supporting resident assessments, care planning and clinical documentation
  • Monitoring clinical outcomes, identifying risks and implementing appropriate improvements
  • Maintaining compliance with aged care legislation, quality standards and clinical governance requirements
  • Coordinating clinical audits, incident management and quality improvement activities
  • Supporting staff education, mentoring and ongoing professional development
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families and the broader clinical team
  • Working with allied health professionals and external healthcare providers to support resident outcomes
This position offers the opportunity to take responsibility for a defined resident group without carrying sole responsibility for clinical management across the entire facility.

Why this Role
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Care Manager or Clinical Care Coordinator looking to step into a more senior leadership position within an established aged care organisation.
You will have access to:
  • Experienced Care Manager alongside you: Work with an established colleague who has extensive knowledge of the facility and its residents
  • Structured leadership support: A Facility Manager and Manager of Clinical Services provide additional operational and clinical oversight
  • 4-star rated facility: Join a home with an established quality rating and positive team culture
  • Established compliance standards: A facility with a strong focus on maintaining clinical quality and regulatory requirements
  • Career progression: An opportunity for an experienced Clinical Care Coordinator to move into a Care Manager position
  • Not-for-profit benefits: Access to salary packaging arrangements in addition to your base salary and superannuation
  • Established provider: Join a recognised not-for-profit organisation with an ongoing commitment to resident care and staff development
About You
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent recognised nursing qualification
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous clinical experience in residential aged care
  • Experience in a Clinical Care Coordinator, Care Manager or equivalent clinical leadership position
  • Experience supervising nursing or care staff within an aged care environment
  • Working knowledge of aged care quality standards, clinical governance and resident care planning
Salary & Benefits
  • $130,000 to $140,000 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging
  • Salary packaging benefits through an established not-for-profit provider
  • Established Facility Manager and Manager of Clinical Services leadership structure
  • Opportunity for an experienced Clinical Care Coordinator to progress into Care Management
  • Established 120-bed residential aged care facility
  • Positive team culture and experienced clinical colleagues
What’s on Offer
If you are looking for a Care Manager position where you can take ownership of clinical care without managing an entire facility on your own, this is worth a conversation.
You will be joining a well-established not-for-profit provider with an experienced leadership team, a positive working culture and the opportunity to develop your management career while maintaining a strong focus on resident care.

• Discreet, professional handling at every stage
• We do not share your details without permission
