Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a strong, experienced Clinical Manager to join a large residential aged care facility in Cairns.

You'll work alongside an established clinical leadership team, with two Clinical Managers, several Clinical Care Coordinators and Nurse Mentors supporting clinical care delivery across the home.

This is an opportunity for a confident leader who can bring people together, set clear clinical expectations and build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. You'll play a key role in supporting and developing the nursing team while ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the clinical team, promoting best practice and accountability.
• Oversee clinical assessments, care planning and resident outcomes.
• Drive clinical governance, quality assurance, audits and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor clinical risks and incidents, implementing improvements where required.
• Support and develop nursing staff to build clinical capability and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with Clinical Care Coordinators, Nurse Mentors and the wider leadership team.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals.

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Proven experience in a Care Manager or equivalent clinical leadership role within residential aged care.
• A strong leadership presence, with the ability to engage, motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Sound knowledge of aged care legislation, clinical governance and the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Confidence managing competing priorities and driving accountability across clinical care.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine commitment to resident wellbeing and continuous improvement.
