Rate: Up to $80.08/hr base super penalties

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse – Diabetes Educator (NG6) for a contract with Central West Hospital and Health Service in Longreach. This senior clinical role is perfect for nurses passionate about diabetes management, chronic disease support, and rural community healthcare.
Contract Dates:
- Start: ASAP
- Finish: 28 February 2026
- Christmas & New Year Break: 22 December 2025 – 2 January 2026 (return home for the holidays)
Earn up to $80.08 per hour (base) super penalty rates, with full support provided, including:
- Accommodation supplied for the duration of the contract
- All travel covered (no out-of-pocket costs for getting to and from Longreach)
About the Role You’ll join the Community Health team in Longreach, providing expert diabetes education, supporting chronic disease management, and offering senior clinical leadership within a warm and welcoming rural setting.
What You’ll Need
- Must be a Clinical Nurse (NG6) – strictly no junior RN submissions
- Diabetes Education or Chronic Disease qualification/experience (or working towards)
- Previous Qld Health experience required
- Full compliance documents ready for submission
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver advanced clinical education
