As the most senior clinician on site, you will provide strong clinical leadership, guide multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and compliant care across the service. This opportunity suits a confident clinical leader who enjoys being visible, hands-on, and influential - someone who can balance clinical excellence with sound operational and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for clinical care and nursing services
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing and care teams to deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred care
- Ensure compliance with aged care legislation, strengthened quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee infection prevention and control, clinical risk management, incident response, and quality improvement initiatives
- Drive strong clinical governance, accreditation readiness, and continuous improvement outcomes
- Partner closely with operational leaders to support admissions, occupancy, care planning, and service delivery
- Manage clinical budgets, staffing levels, care minutes, and resource utilisation effectively
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, medical practitioners, allied health providers, and external stakeholders
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture grounded in respect and accountability
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Extensive experience in residential aged care clinical leadership (e.g. Director of Nursing, Clinical Manager, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, accreditation, and clinical governance frameworks
- Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams
- Confidence in clinical decision-making, risk management, and quality improvement
- Experience managing budgets, staffing models, and care minute requirements
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- A calm, resilient, and values-driven leadership style
- Salary package of up to $200,000 with performance-based incentives.
