A very rare opportunity has become available for an experienced and commercially minded Facility Manager to lead a very large residential aged care home within a national national not-for-profit organisation.

As Facility Manager, you’ll have overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the home, ensuring high-quality resident outcomes while maintaining strong operational, financial and workforce performance.
You’ll work closely with your senior leadership team and broader organisational stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, strengthen team capability and ensure the home continues to deliver against its strategic and operational objectives.
This is a highly visible leadership position, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced aged care leader who enjoys being hands-on, building strong relationships and creating a positive culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall operations and performance of the residential aged care home.
- Provide strong leadership across clinical, operational, workforce and support functions.
- Drive a positive, resident-focused culture and consistently high standards of care.
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, occupancy, workforce and key operational metrics.
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, performance management and leadership development.
- Oversee quality, compliance, risk and governance, ensuring the home meets regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff and key external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across care, systems, processes and service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with regional and senior leadership to deliver organisational objectives
- Proven experience as a Facility Manager, Residential Manager, General Manager or similar senior leadership role within residential aged care.
- Registered Nurse qualification and AHPRA registration (desirable).
- Strong understanding of residential aged care operations, clinical governance and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, occupancy and operational performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
