An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Facility Manager to lead a small residential aged care home in Boronia. This role sits within a family-owned and operated provider that prides itself on its supportive leadership style, strong relationships, and resident-focused approach to care.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role where you will be actively present in the home, supporting staff, engaging with residents and families, and creating a positive and stable environment. You will be well supported by senior leadership and central functions, allowing you to focus on people, culture, and quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with all Aged Care Quality Standards
- Lead and stabilise the team, fostering a positive, accountable, and collaborative culture
- Drive high standards of clinical care, governance, and continuous improvement
- Manage staffing, occupancy, and budgets to ensure operational sustainability
- Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Support accreditation readiness and ensure ongoing compliance across all areas
- Identify and address cultural or performance challenges in a constructive and consistent way
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within residential aged care or a similar environment
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration (essential)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, transition, or service improvement
- Strong understanding of quality standards, compliance frameworks, and governance requirements
- Confident, hands-on leader with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to build strong team culture, drive consistency, and provide clear direction
- Experience fostering stability and improving operational performance in a care environment
