Description

Lead with purpose. Build a positive culture. Create a home where residents and staff thrive.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and people-focused Facility Manager to lead a well-established residential aged care home in Melbourne's inner north.

This is your opportunity to join a provider that genuinely values strong leadership, meaningful relationships and high-quality resident care. Working alongside a supportive executive team, you'll be empowered to lead the day-to-day operations of the home, develop a high-performing team and create an environment where residents feel truly at home.

This organisation believes great aged care starts with great people. Rather than focusing solely on compliance, they invest heavily in culture, leadership and employee engagement, recognising that supported teams deliver exceptional care.

If you're looking for a leadership opportunity where you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, build an engaged workforce and continue developing your career within a supportive organisation, this could be the ideal next step.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • $150,000 – $160,000 + Super
  • Medium sized nursing home with strong support structure including Clinical leadership, HR and Quality support.
  • Join a provider that genuinely values culture, relationships and person-centred care.
  • Enjoy the autonomy to lead your home while being backed by experienced operational and clinical leaders.
  • Drive continuous improvement while creating an environment where both residents and employees flourish.
  • Continue to build your career within an established and developing organisation.
The Role
As the Facility Manager, you'll take overall responsibility for the operational and clinical performance of the home, ensuring exceptional resident outcomes while fostering an engaged, positive and high-performing team culture.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll oversee compliance, financial performance, workforce engagement and continuous improvement while ensuring the home continues to provide outstanding person-centred care.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide leadership across all operational and clinical aspects of the home.
  • Inspire, mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams.
  • Drive occupancy, resident satisfaction and employee engagement.
  • Oversee clinical governance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage financial performance, budgets and workforce planning.
  • Build trusted relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and community stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration, accountability and respect.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
About You
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Proven experience successfully leading a residential aged care home as a Facility or Residential Manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with a contemporary, resident-centred approach that delivers exceptional care outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, clinical governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Passionate about driving continuous improvement and achieving best-practice outcomes for residents.
  • An inspiring people leader with the ability to build, mentor and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
