About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager (RN) who is a confident and capable leader, with a strong focus on people management and operational performance. This role will suit someone who thrives working autonomously, takes ownership, and is comfortable making decisions without the need for constant direction.
 
You will be responsible for leading the home across all operational, clinical, and workforce areas, with a strong emphasis on building a positive, accountable culture. This role requires a leader who is fair but firm, able to manage performance effectively, and confident in addressing challenges head-on.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong leadership across the home, with a focus on people management, culture, and accountability.
  • Oversee all aspects of operations including clinical care, compliance, workforce, and financial performance.
  • Manage and develop staff, addressing performance, engagement, and retention proactively.
  • Apply strong HR and people management practices, including conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Drive operational efficiency through sound commercial decision-making and resource management.
  • Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a problem solver, identifying challenges and implementing practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Contribute new ideas and improvements, adding value beyond day-to-day operations.
Key Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) – essential.
  • Proven experience as a Facility Manager within residential aged care.
  • Strong people management and HR experience, with the ability to manage performance confidently.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and understanding of operational performance.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and lead without reliance on constant support.
  • A leadership style that is fair, firm, and consistent.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Alignment with organisational values and a commitment to high standards of care and leadership.
