Description
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Facility Manager to lead a large residential aged care facility with a well-established for-profit provider.
This home has a stable and supportive team culture, with several long-term employees including the Chef, Office Manager and Client Services Officer. The service is fully compliant with accreditation achieved and offers strong clinical and operational support.
You will be joining a provider that invests in leadership development, quality improvement and clinical governance, with regular clinical leadership days held in Newcastle and dedicated regional support.
About the Role
As the Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational leadership of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care while maintaining compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
You will lead a strong clinical structure:
Structure:
Facility Manager → Care Manager → Clinical Care Coordinator → Nursing Team
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a 100-bed aged care facility
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements
• Provide leadership, mentoring and support to clinical and care teams
• Drive continuous improvement and quality outcomes across the home
• Manage operational, financial and workforce performance
• Build strong relationships with residents, families and key stakeholders
About the Facility
- Large 100-bed residential aged care home
• Fully compliant facility with accreditation achieved
• Clinical Care Coordinator onsite 5 days per week (including weekends)
• Designated Quality Care Business Partner supporting the NSW North region
• Regular clinical leadership days in Newcastle
• Supportive Regional Manager who is actively involved with the home
• Stable workforce with strong team culture
About You
- Previous experience as a Facility Manager, Care Manager or senior aged care leader
• Strong knowledge of aged care compliance, accreditation and clinical governance
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to drive quality improvement and operational performance
• Passion for delivering excellent resident outcomes
