We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Facility Manager (RN) to lead the operations of a residential aged care service requiring strong, structured leadership. This role will suit a seasoned leader who thrives on building operational discipline, driving accountability, and embedding sustainable systems. While the service has strong community ties, there is a clear need for a leader who can strengthen the operational and financial performance, with a particular focus on reducing agency reliance and improving workforce stability.
You will be responsible for establishing clear operational rhythms, driving team performance, and ensuring the home is running efficiently across all areas including clinical, financial, and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role where visibility, structure, and decisive leadership are key to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong, visible leadership across all areas of the home.
- Drive operational structure, accountability, and performance standards.
- Oversee financial performance, including budget management and reduction of agency spend.
- Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the clinical and operational leadership team.
- Implement effective workforce planning strategies to improve stability and retention.
- Establish consistent operational rhythms and reporting frameworks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders.
- Registered Nurse (RN) – essential.
- Demonstrated experience as a Facility Manager within residential aged care.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets and drive cost efficiencies.
- Track record of improving operational performance, including reducing agency usage.
- Confident, structured leader with the ability to set expectations and drive accountability.
- Strong understanding of aged care compliance, accreditation, and governance.
- Hands-on leadership style with excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- $170K – $190K Super.
