About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead the overall operations of a purpose-driven residential aged care service with strong community foundations. The organisation has a long-standing commitment to supporting older Australians, including those from vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds. As such, this role requires a compassionate yet structured leader who understands the importance of dignity, inclusion, and advocacy, while maintaining clear operational standards.

With well-established governance frameworks in place, the focus will be on operational excellence, team performance, financial oversight, and upholding high clinical and compliance standards. You will work closely with the clinical leadership team to ensure residents receive safe, person-centred care while maintaining regulatory excellence. This is a fully onsite leadership position, ideal for a hands-on leader who values integrity, structure, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong, visible leadership across all areas of the facility.
  • Set clear expectations and drive team accountability and performance.
  • Oversee financial performance, budgets, and occupancy targets.
  • Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and governance frameworks.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and clinical leaders.
  • Manage workforce planning, culture, and performance management processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational and clinical functions.
Key Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Facility Manager within Residential Aged Care – essential.
  • Strong understanding of aged care compliance, governance, and accreditation standards.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and manage underperformance where required.
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational KPIs.
  • Confident decision-maker with clear communication and leadership capability.
  • A leadership style that is structured, fair, and performance driven.
