Description

A well-established medium sized residential aged care home in Northern Beaches is seeking an experienced and people-focused Facility Manager to lead the service within one of Australia's most respected not-for-profit aged care providers.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a confident, supportive and clinically capable leader who enjoys developing teams, driving quality outcomes and creating a positive culture for residents and staff. You'll be joining a fully accredited home with experienced clinical support, excellent systems and a stable leadership team already in place.

If you are passionate about aged care, thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy leading high-performing teams, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact while continuing to develop your leadership career.
About the Role As the operational and clinical leader of the home, you will oversee all aspects of service delivery while supporting your clinical team to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.

This role combines operational leadership, financial management, clinical governance, people leadership and continuous improvement within a well-supported residential aged care environment.

You will work within a clear leadership structure:
Facility Manager → Care Manager → Registered Nurses → Care Staff

You will also be supported by dedicated Quality and Education professionals, allowing you to focus on leading your team and delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall operations of the residential aged care home
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team
  • Drive clinical governance and compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Monitor quality, occupancy and financial performance
  • Support continuous improvement and accreditation readiness
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families and key stakeholders
  • Foster a positive, engaged and collaborative workplace culture
  • Partner with regional leadership to achieve operational and clinical excellence

About You
You are an approachable, accountable and highly organised leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional aged care services.

You will also bring:
  • Previous experience as a Facility Manager, Residential Manager or Director of Nursing within residential aged care
  • Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
  • Experience leading residential aged care operations
  • Confidence managing accreditation, compliance and clinical governance
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational performance within aged care

What's on Offer
  • Lead a fully accredited medium sized residential aged care home
  • Join a large, well-established not-for-profit provider
  • Dedicated Quality and Education support
  • Stable leadership team and positive workplace culture
  • Excellent opportunities for ongoing career progression
  • Salary packaging and employee wellbeing benefits

About E4 People E4 People has been a specialist healthcare recruitment partner since 2012. Over the past decade we have built deep relationships across aged care, allied health and hospital settings throughout Australia. When you work with us, you get more than a single job opening. You get a recruiter who understands the sector, knows the leadership teams and can talk honestly about culture, career pathways and where your skills will be valued.

What this looks like in practice:
  • A dedicated consultant who works with you on your career, not just this role
  • Honest market insight on salary, career growth and where the sector is heading
  • Discreet, professional handling at every stage—we never share your details without permission
  • Ongoing support after placement because the right fit matters well beyond your start date

We are proud that many of the candidates we place return to us years later for their next career move. That is the standard we aim for on every search.

Interested? If you are passionate about leading aged care services, thrive in a supportive leadership environment and want to join one of Australia's leading not-for-profit providers, we'd love to hear from you.

To discuss this opportunity confidentially, contact Natasha Selwyn for a confidential conversation.

We are recruiting across permanent aged care leadership, clinical and operational roles throughout NSW and the ACT and would be happy to discuss your career options.
