Details
Work Type: Permanent
Salary Range: $130,001+
Whats on Offer:
Description
A rare senior leadership opportunity for an Allied Health leader who wants to move beyond day-to-day clinical management and into true operational, commercial and service growth leadership.
This is a newly created role with a long-standing Sydney-based not-for-profit supporting children, young people and families across allied health, education, early childhood and community services.
This is a senior operational and growth-focused leadership position, suited to someone who has already moved beyond pure clinical leadership and is ready to shape the next stage of a well-established Allied Health service.
The foundation is already there: strong clinical quality, positive client and family feedback, an established reputation and clear demand across Sydney. The opportunity now is to bring fresh thinking, stronger systems and a more commercial lens to help Allied Health services scale sustainably.
Why you’ll love this role:
- Newly created senior leadership role
- Salary up to $140,000 super, depending on experience
- Full-time, permanent position
- Small WFH component when not travelling between clinic locations
- Access to a fuel card and toll pass
- Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer
- Genuine opportunity to shape and grow Allied Health services
- Purpose-led not-for-profit environment
- Strong clinical foundations already in place
- Clear growth potential across schools, families and referral networks
- Supportive, collaborative and learning-focused culture
- Multi-site Sydney footprint
The organisation works across Speech Therapy, Psychology, education, specialist tutoring, early childhood programs, parent and family development, professional development and community programs.
With a strong reputation, established services and a purpose-led culture, this is an organisation with the foundations in place for its next stage of Allied Health growth.
About the role: This role has been created to lead Allied Health operations, performance and growth.
The initial focus will be Speech Pathology, with scope to support the development of new and emerging Allied Health service lines over time.
The role has a Greater Sydney footprint, with planned travel across site locations on a 2-3 weekly cycle. It is not daily travel, but there is an expectation that you will be visible across the service, spend time with teams and understand what is happening on the ground. When not travelling between sites, there is also scope for some work from home flexibility.
You will work closely with senior leadership to strengthen how services are planned, delivered, measured and grown. This includes improving utilisation, referral flow, service consistency, team structure, operational systems and commercial performance.
The role is suited to someone who can balance clinical credibility with strong business, operational and people leadership.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the performance and growth of Allied Health services
- Strengthen service delivery, utilisation and operational consistency
- Support budget, revenue and service performance outcomes
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, scheduling and service flow
- Build stronger referral pathways across schools, families and community networks
- Work with clinical leaders to maintain quality while supporting growth
- Help shape the introduction of new Allied Health services over time
- Bring structure, accountability and fresh thinking to a high-quality service
- Work closely with the COO and broader leadership team
About you: You are likely to be operating in a senior Allied Health, therapy services, disability, NDIS, paediatric, community health, NGO, private practice or multidisciplinary clinical services leadership role.
A background in Speech Therapy or Occupational Therapy would be highly regarded, particularly if you have moved into broader service leadership, operations, growth or multi-site/team management.
You will ideally bring:
- Senior leadership experience across Allied Health or therapy services
- Experience leading teams, services or regions
- A strong understanding of service performance, utilisation and growth
- Commercial awareness and confidence working with budgets or revenue targets
- Ability to improve systems, processes and service consistency
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
- Clinical credibility, without wanting to carry a clinical caseload
- A practical leadership style and willingness to get involved
- A fresh external perspective and confidence to build something properly
