Head of Clinical Governance

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Head of Clinical Governance to join a well-established not-for-profit aged care provider.

Reporting into the Executive Leadership Team, you will provide strategic oversight of clinical governance across multiple residential aged care homes, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care while driving continuous improvement, compliance, and clinical excellence.

This is a true leadership role suited to someone who enjoys building strong governance frameworks, mentoring leaders, and creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About the Role
As the Head of Clinical Governance, you will:

• Lead and strengthen clinical governance systems across multiple residential services.
• Drive continuous quality improvement and accreditation readiness.
• Oversee clinical risk, incident management and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify gaps and implement sustainable improvements.
• Develop and mentor clinical leaders, creating clear succession pathways and building capability across the organisation.
• Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to influence strategic clinical outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on resident outcomes and clinical excellence.

• Previous experience in a senior Clinical Governance leadership role within aged care.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Extensive knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards, accreditation and compliance.
• Experience leading governance, risk and quality across multiple sites.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for developing people and driving high standards.

• $170,000 - $180,000 + Super
