Description
We are partnering with a respected aged care provider in Tamworth to recruit a Resident Lifestyle Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lifestyle Coordinator, or a senior Lifestyle Assistant ready to step into a leadership role, to join a supportive team and make a meaningful impact on residents' quality of life.
The Lifestyle Coordinator plays a key role in creating a positive and engaging environment for residents, leading the Wellbeing team to deliver programs that promote social, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
The Opportunity
Working closely with residents, families and the broader care team, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and facilitating lifestyle programs that are tailored to residents' interests, goals and individual needs. You will also provide leadership and support to the Wellbeing team, ensuring programs are delivered to a high standard and in line with aged care requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support the Wellbeing team
- Coordinate and facilitate meaningful lifestyle and wellbeing programs
- Promote resident choice, independence and engagement
- Build positive relationships with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team
- Ensure lifestyle programs align with current Aged Care Quality Standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive culture within the home
About You
- Experience as a Lifestyle Coordinator within residential aged care, or significant experience as a Lifestyle Assistant looking to progress into a leadership role
- Strong understanding of resident-centred care and wellbeing programs
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to motivate, lead and develop team members
- Well-organised with strong administration and documentation skills
- Comfortable using technology and lifestyle management systems
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of older people
