Maintenance Officer | Residential Aged Care Eastern Suburbs | Full Time
The Opportunity We're partnering with a well-established not-for-profit aged care provider to recruit a Maintenance Officer for a full-time permanent opportunity in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in maintaining safe and welcoming environments, and enjoys working as part of a supportive team. You'll work across both Residential Aged Care and Retirement Living, helping ensure buildings, gardens and outdoor spaces are well maintained for residents and staff.
Key Information
- Full-time permanent position (76 hours per fortnight)
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday – Residential Aged Care
- Tuesday – Retirement Living
- Up to $35.00 per hour + Super + Salary Packaging (trade qualified)
- $30.48 per hour + Super + Salary Packaging (non-trade)
- Completing general maintenance and repair work
- Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and building maintenance
- Gardening and grounds maintenance including mowing, hedging and general upkeep
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests
- Ensuring maintenance works meet compliance requirements
- Promoting safe work practices and contributing to Work Health & Safety
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Previous maintenance or building experience
- Trade qualification (highly regarded)
- Strong general maintenance skills across multiple trades
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience within aged care or retirement living (desirable)
- Experience in building, plumbing, welding or a related trade (desirable)
