Lifestyle Team Leader – Aged Care
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Lifestyle Team Leader to join a welcoming residential aged care environment in Bundaberg. This role is ideal for someone passionate about enriching the lives of older Australians through meaningful lifestyle programs, strong team leadership, and community connection.

About the Role
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of engaging lifestyle programs that promote social connection, wellbeing, and quality of life for residents.
You will oversee and support a small team of Lifestyle Assistants while also acting as a key link between the home and the broader community, coordinating entertainment, volunteers, and external groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support the Lifestyle team
- Plan and deliver engaging social, recreational, and wellness activities
- Greet residents and communicate daily activities
- Welcome new residents and complete social profiles and individual activity plans
- Develop monthly activity calendars and newsletters
- Organise community events and external outings
- Liaise with volunteers and community groups (schools, service clubs, religious leaders)
- Contribute to continuous improvement and staff development initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring both creativity and leadership to lifestyle programming within aged care.
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent (e.g. Diploma of Community Services)
- Demonstrated experience in lifestyle programming or diversional therapy
- Knowledge of care planning and resident assessments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a small team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence and confidence transporting residents
- High level of initiative, enthusiasm, and empathy for older people
- 1–2 years’ experience in a lifestyle or diversional therapy role within aged care
