Our client is a well-established not-for-profit community health provider supporting older adults to live safely, independently and confidently in their own homes across the Hunter region. Their multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality, person-centred services that promote healthy ageing, wellbeing and community connection.
With continued growth across their Allied Health service, they are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a supportive team focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for older Australians in the community through Support At Home referrals.
About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will support older adults living in the community through comprehensive assessments and evidence-based interventions that enhance safety, independence and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments within participants homes
- Community visits with elderly clients through Support At Home referrals
- Developing individualised intervention plans that support independence and healthy ageing
- Prescribing equipment and recommending environmental modifications where appropriate
- Collaborating closely with Care Partners, families and other health professionals
- Delivering community-based services across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie
- Full-time permanent role with flexible working hours and no weekend or shift work
- No weekend work or shift work

- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Ability to work independently within a community setting

- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- $90,000 - $125,000 + Super
- Up to $18,500 salary packaging plus up to $2,650 entertainment packaging
