Description

A fantastic opportunity is available for a paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a warm, well-established multidisciplinary health practice in Brisbane’s bayside area.

This role is based around Wakerley, supporting a paediatric caseload in a primarily clinic-based setting, with some local school-based work. The clinic has a strong internal referral network, with GPs and allied health practitioners onsite, and a focused paediatric team across OT, Speech Pathology, Psychology and other child-focused services.

This is a contractor opportunity offering $116 per hour, suited to an OT who enjoys paediatrics, values flexibility, and wants to work within a caring, team-focused environment.

Why You’ll LOVE this Role:

  • Contractor role paying $116 per hour
  • Paediatric-only OT caseload
  • Primarily clinic-based role, with some local school-based work
  • Join a large multidisciplinary health and allied health practice
  • Work alongside OTs, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, GPs and other health practitioners
  • Access to an onsite sensory gym space
  • Strong internal referral ecosystem through the broader medical and allied health team
  • Warm, compassionate and team-focused culture
  • Great fit for an experienced paediatric OT who enjoys both therapy and collaboration
  • Opportunity to provide mentoring / supervision support if this aligns with your experience
  • Flexible contracting model with strong earning potential
Your Role: You will support a paediatric caseload across clinic and local school settings.

The role may include:
  • Delivering paediatric OT assessments and therapy
  • Supporting children with functional goals, sensory needs, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, daily living skills and participation
  • Working closely with families, schools and other key supports
  • Collaborating with a broader paediatric team
  • Using the onsite sensory gym as part of therapy planning and delivery
  • Supporting NDIS, private and plan-managed clients
This role would suit an OT who enjoys building strong relationships with children and families, and wants to work in a clinic where care, collaboration and quality service are genuinely valued.

The Team:

This is a large multidisciplinary practice with a strong onsite practitioner base across medicine, allied health and complementary health.

The paediatric stream operates as a focused team within the broader clinic, with OT, Speech Pathology, Psychology and other child-focused supports working closely together.

The OT team currently includes several clinicians, with the ideal person being someone who can confidently manage a paediatric caseload and, where appropriate, contribute to mentoring and supervision within the team.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Full AHPRA registration
  • Previous paediatric OT experience
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Driver’s licence and access to a car
  • Comfortable working across clinic and local school settings
