Boulia Primary Health Clinic, QLD
$81.26 per hour | Contract: 1 October – 8 November | Travel & Accommodation Provided
Take on a rewarding remote area nursing contract in the heart of outback Queensland. Boulia Primary Health Clinic is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join the team for a 6-week contract, working alongside a Director of Nursing and a dedicated administration and operations team to deliver essential primary health care to this tight-knit rural community.
The Role
- Contract dates: 1 October – 8 November
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, plus on-call/recall after hours and weekends
- Pay rate: $81.26 per hour
- Location: Boulia Primary Health Clinic, Queensland
You'll work as part of a small, close-knit clinic team, supporting the Director of Nursing (Remote Area Nursing trained) in delivering primary health services to the local community and surrounding rural properties. This is a no-bed facility — all emergencies are managed in partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and the successful candidate will also help staff the Queensland Ambulance Service for the community, supported by a community driver.
This role suits a confident, adaptable nurse who thrives with a high degree of autonomy and is comfortable being part of the emergency response network for a remote community.
About the Facility Boulia Primary Health Clinic is staffed by one Director of Nursing (RAN-trained), with administration and operational support on-site.
As a no-bed facility, the clinic's focus is on primary care, community health, and emergency stabilisation ahead of RFDS retrieval where required.

- Accommodation: Provided for the full contract — onsite accommodation available if you don't have your own vehicle (generally shared with other agency nurses)
- JP-certified qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing), ID and Police Check
- Vaccinnation Evidence (Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Perustussis)
- Completed TB Questionnaire and VPD forms
- ALS/PALS/Triage
