Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who thrives on night duty and enjoys taking the lead clinically?
We are currently recruiting for Registered Nurse opportunities with a large residential aged care home in Thornlands. This is a great opportunity for an experienced RN looking for a stable night duty position within a supportive and established clinical team.
About the Role
Working as the Night Duty RN in Charge, you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality clinical care throughout the night.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical care and support to residents overnight
- Acting as the RN in Charge and providing clinical leadership to the care team
- Monitoring residents and responding appropriately to changes in condition
- Managing clinical documentation and care records
- Administering medications and completing clinical assessments
- Escalating clinical concerns appropriately
- Supporting and guiding care staff throughout the shift
- Maintaining high standards of clinical care, compliance and documentation
What We're Looking For
We are seeking an experienced RN who is confident working independently and taking clinical responsibility overnight.
You will ideally have:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 12 months' RN experience
- Previous experience working night duty
- Residential aged care experience highly regarded
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Good understanding of aged care documentation and AN-ACC
- Confidence leading and supporting care staff
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A genuine commitment to providing person-centred care

- Flexible hours available depending on your preference
- $49–$55 per hour + super, based on experience
- Additional night duty penalty on top of the base rate
