An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Residential Aged Care Manager to lead a residential aged care home in Ballarat. This role is ideal for a passionate and capable leader who is motivated to deliver high-quality care while building a positive and supportive workplace culture.
As Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and clinical governance of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
Reporting into the Regional Operations Manager, and working alongside a supportive leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the service, supporting staff, strengthening clinical standards, and maintaining strong relationships with residents and families.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a leader who enjoys balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, while contributing to a service where resident wellbeing and community relationships remain central.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong operational and people leadership across the residential home
- Foster a positive, supportive culture focused on high-quality resident care
- Ensure compliance with aged care standards and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with clinical leaders to maintain strong governance and care outcomes
- Lead and support multidisciplinary teams including nursing, care and support staff
- Oversee operational performance including workforce management, occupancy and financial performance
- Build trusted relationships with residents, families and the wider community
- Use data and insights to identify risks, trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Previous leadership experience as a Facility Manager, Director of Care, or senior operational leader within residential aged care
- Strong understanding of aged care standards, compliance and clinical governance
- Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A collaborative and values-driven leadership approach
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage operational priorities effectively
- Registered Nurse qualification and current AHPRA registration (highly regarded)
