Description

Residential Aged Care Quality & Compliance Officer

The Opportunity
An established residential aged care provider is seeking an experienced Quality & Compliance Officer to join its corporate quality team.

Based at the organisation’s head office in Gordon, you will support a portfolio of 4–5 residential aged care homes, working closely with site leadership teams to strengthen compliance, improve quality outcomes and embed sustainable change.
This is a hands-on and relationship-focused position suited to someone who enjoys partnering with homes, supporting staff and making quality and compliance feel practical and achievable.

Key Information

  • Salary of $135,000–$140,000 + superannuation
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Supporting a portfolio of 4–5 residential aged care homes
  • Regular travel to homes across the portfolio
  • Free onsite parking
  • Supportive and collaborative corporate team
  • Career development and progression opportunities
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Conduct desktop and onsite quality and compliance audits
  • Support homes to maintain compliance with aged care legislation and standards
  • Identify gaps in practice and assist sites with corrective action plans
  • Build strong working relationships with site leaders and employees
  • Attend monthly quality and operational meetings
  • Provide education, guidance and coaching to home-based teams
  • Support policy reviews, implementation and rollout
  • Assist with complaints, incidents and investigations
  • Prepare reports relating to audits, quality indicators and compliance
  • Support continuous improvement and change management initiatives
  • Monitor regulatory updates and communicate changes across the organisation
About You
To be considered for this position, you will have:
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • At least two years of quality and compliance experience
  • Extensive experience within residential aged care
  • Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience conducting audits and implementing improvements
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to influence and support teams through change
  • A practical, approachable and solutions-focused working style
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between homes
Experience with LeeCare, electronic medication management systems or Moving on Audits would be highly regarded.

What Success Looks Like
Success in this position will be built around becoming a trusted support for the homes and developing positive relationships with leaders and employees.

You will be able to identify areas for improvement while communicating change in a supportive and practical way. Rather than making compliance feel overwhelming, you will help teams understand what needs to change, why it matters and how they can achieve it.

If you are an experienced residential aged care quality professional looking for a supportive organisation and the opportunity to make a genuine impact across multiple homes, we would love to hear from you.
If you're interested in learning more, please contact Hayley Sullivan on 0483 951 664 or hayley@e4people.com.au for a confidential discussion.**Please note that, due to the volume of applications received, only suitable candidates will be contacted.
