Speech Pathologist | Paediatric Caseload | Community + Telehealth

Newcastle, New South Wales

Details

briefcase-regular-1   Work Type: Permanent

square-dollar-regular   Salary Range: $100,001 - $120,000

heart-circle-plus-regular   Whats on Offer:

Description

Our client is an established, clinician-run and clinician-led allied health provider with more than 15 years of experience supporting children, families and communities across Australia.

This Newcastle opportunity offers genuine flexibility across community-based Speech Pathology, telehealth and remote administration. You can structure your week around client-facing work, with administration completed remotely at times that suit you, while still having access to a strong multidisciplinary team, regular supervision and structured professional development. The organisation is particularly well regarded for its paediatric care and diagnostic assessments, with senior clinicians and management readily available when support is needed.

About the Role

This is a Speech Pathology role in Newcastle with a predominantly paediatric caseload working exclusively in the community and via telehealth.

The current role is expected to include:

  • A mix of community based and telehealth work (approximately 60/40)
  • Predominantly paediatric clients
  • Generalist caseload with neurodivergence, autism, ADHD, sensory processing, feeding, speech and sound disorders and individualised developmental and communication needs
  • Community referrals primarily through preschools and schools
  • Individual 45-minute sessions, with modality shaped around client needs
  • A hybrid approach, with face-to-face client time grouped together and administration completed on-site or remotely
  • Minimum 4 days per week
Why this Role

You will have access to:
  • Weekly discipline-specific meetings and case analysis
  • Weekly company-wide meetings
  • A structured 90-day onboarding program with a reduced caseload
  • Initial caseload of approximately 3-4 clients per day
  • Heads of Department helps planning sessions during the first 90 days
  • Discipline-specific PD every Monday, including external speakers and case presentations
  • External PD opportunities
  • Learning plans developed at the beginning of each term
  • Career progression conversations multiple times throughout the year
  • Gradual introduction to assessments, with support around scoring, analysis and assessment templates
  • An additional $200 payment for each assessment completed
The team places a strong emphasis on clinicians being approachable and comfortable asking for support. Senior clinicians and management are accessible remotely when additional clinical input is needed.

About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Current SPA membership or eligibility for SPA membership
  • Experience working with a predominantly paediatric caseload
  • Experience supporting neurodivergent children and developmental presentations
  • Comfortable communicating with parents and building strong therapeutic relationships
  • Comfortable working across community, face-to-face and telehealth modalities
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary from $80,000 - $115,000 + Super
  • Structured 90-day onboarding with reduced caseload
  • Weekly discipline-specific PD and case analysis
  • External PD opportunities and paid days for approved external courses
  • Learning plans and regular career progression discussions
  • Additional $200 payment per completed assessment
  • Flexible administration arrangements, including remote options
  • Community and telehealth working model
  • Ongoing access to senior clinical and management support
What’s on Offer

If you are looking for a paediatric Speech Pathology role where you're given freedom over your schedule, flexibility to group clients how you prefer and completion of admin from home, this is worth a conversation.

The role offers a mix of community and telehealth work, strong exposure to paediatric presentations and a structured approach to onboarding that is designed to support clinicians as they build confidence and settle into the team.
