Description
Our client is a paediatric disability provider supporting children, young people and families across greater Brisbane.
The service brings together allied health and broader disability supports, with a multidisciplinary team across Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, nursing and support work. The team supports children and young people with complex disability and related health needs, with strong referral demand across Speech Pathology.
About the Role:
This is a paediatric Speech Pathologist role supporting children and young people across a flexible clinic, community and teletherapy model.
Your week may include:
- Speech Pathology assessment and intervention for children and young people with complex disability
- Supporting developmental delay, physical disability, congenital and genetic conditions
- Feeding, swallowing and mealtime management support
- Assistive communication and AAC-related intervention
- Clinic-based therapy across greater Brisbane sites
- Home, school and community-based sessions depending on client needs
- Teletherapy/telehealth where clinically appropriate
- Collaboration with OTs, Physiotherapists, Dietitians and Allied Health Assistants
- Flexible scheduling, with clinicians able to plan their own timetables
- Remote completion of admin and invoicing tasks when not required on site
Why this Role:
This role would suit a Speech Pathologist who is interested in paediatric disability, multidisciplinary work and a flexible service delivery model. You will have access to:
- $85,000 to $115,000 super, tailored to experience
- Salary packaging through a not-for-profit provider
- Annual CPI-linked salary increases
- Weekly supervision for new graduates and junior clinicians
- Fortnightly supervision in year 2, moving to longer-term support as you progress
- Senior Speech Pathologists already in the team
- Centralised clinical leadership across sites
- Strong support for clinicians moving into paediatrics from another background
- Balanced KPI expectations of 4.5 billable hours per day, including supervision time
- Flexible timetabling across clinic, home, school, community and teletherapy
- A multidisciplinary team across OT, Physio, Speech, Dietetics and creative therapies
- Allied Health Assistant support within the model
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current SPA membership or eligibility for SPA membership
- Interest or experience in paediatric disability
- Comfortable supporting children and young people with complex needs
- Comfortable working across clinic, school, home and community settings
- Current driver’s licence and access to a car
- Working rights in Australia
- $85,000 to $115,000 super, tailored to experience
