Speech Pathologist Team Leader | Clinic-based | Paediatrics

Gold Coast, Queensland

Details

briefcase-regular-1   Work Type: Permanent

square-dollar-regular   Salary Range: $100,001 - $120,000

heart-circle-plus-regular   Whats on Offer:

Description

A reputable paediatric allied health provider on the Gold Coast is seeking a Speech Pathology Team Leader to support and lead a small team of 4 Speech Pathologists within a warm, child-centred and family-focused service.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Speech Pathologist who enjoys paediatrics, wants genuine leadership responsibility, and still wants to stay close to clinical work.

You will step into a supportive environment with strong admin systems, a growing clinic space, Allied Health Assistant support, and a leadership team that values sustainable caseloads, flexibility and quality therapy.

Why You’ll LOVE this Role:

  • Salary from $110,000 - $120,000 super, depending on experience
  • Lead and support a team of 4 Speech Pathologists
  • Work with a reputable paediatric allied health provider on the Gold Coast
  • 9-day fortnight available
  • $1,500 PD allowance with flexibility around areas of interest
  • Private health insurance provided to all staff!
  • Full admin support for bookings, service agreements and general client coordination
  • Laptop, iPad, resources and uniforms provided
  • Work alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Allied Health Assistants
  • Support children up to 16 years across communication, language, developmental and disability-related needs
  • Be part of a family-run provider with a strong child-centred, strengths-based approach
  • Opportunity to help shape the Speech Pathology team as the service continues to grow
The Role: As the Speech Pathology Team Leader, you will provide clinical leadership, supervision and day-to-day support to a team of Speech Pathologists working with paediatric clients across the Gold Coast.

You will support children and families through assessment, intervention, parent education, report writing and ongoing therapy planning. The caseload is primarily paediatric, working with children up to 16 years, including neurodivergent children and children with developmental delays, communication needs and disability-related supports.

This role would suit a Senior Speech Pathologist who is ready to step into leadership, or an existing Speech Pathology Team Leader looking for a supportive paediatric provider with strong values and room to grow.

You’ll Be Involved In:
  • Leading and mentoring a team of 4 Speech Pathologists
  • Providing supervision, guidance and clinical support
  • Managing a paediatric caseload in a clinic-based setting
  • Supporting children with speech, language, communication and developmental needs
  • Working closely with families, carers and key support networks
  • Completing assessments, therapy planning, progress notes and reports
  • Helping junior clinicians build confidence and clinical reasoning
  • Collaborating with OTs, AHAs and the wider allied health team
  • Supporting a positive, practical and family-centred team culture
About You: You are a qualified Speech Pathologist with strong paediatric experience and a genuine interest in leadership.

You may already be working as a Team Leader, or you may be a Senior Speech Pathologist who has naturally become the person others come to for support. You enjoy mentoring clinicians, creating structure, and helping a team deliver good-quality therapy without unnecessary pressure.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Speech Pathology Australia membership
  • Previous paediatric Speech Pathology experience
  • Confidence supporting junior clinicians or providing supervision
  • Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Driver’s licence
