Working rights
Working rights refer to the legal ability to work, based on citizenship, residency, or visa status, in Australia. The documents you provide serve as proof of this.
Document overview
What documents can you provide?
There are a few different document options you can provide to show your work eligibility. We have listed this in the page below. If you've already submitted one as ID, you don't need to provide it again. The compliance team will mark your working rights as complete automatically.

Got a burning question you want answered?
Here's a few we get asked alot...
1. I do not have evidence of my visa. Can I provide a VEVO check instead?
If you don't have evidence of your visa, a VEVO check can be used as an alternative, but this will need to be completed internally by a member of the compliance team. You will need to provide a copy of the passport linked to your current visa.
2. My Australian passport has expired. Can I use this as evidence of working rights?
An expired Australian passport can serve as identification in certain situations, but it cannot be used as proof of your current working rights. If you intend to use your passport as evidence of working rights, you will need to apply for a new one.
